
Located in the heart of Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park, Tu Lan cave system consists of three main caves: Tu Lan, Hang Ken and Hang Tien. These were discovered in 2009 by local fishermen.
In 2010, the British Cave Research Association held a first exploration expedition. Since then, several other caves have been discovered. Even today, new caves are discovered regularly, including one a few months ago.
The Tu Lan caves became popular in 2011 following the publication in the National Geographic of a photo taken by photographer Carsten Peter. This photo won him many awards.
Only one company organizes the visits of these caves: Oxalis.
